This was one of the biggest political scandals in Ohio’s history and the Democrat A.G. doesn’t think it’s a good idea to give a heads to the board that approves large payments like this? We mean, come on, $500,000 is a lot of money to some folks. Never mind the fact that this settlement was big news. Yet another case of Ohio Democrats trying to sweep Marc Dann under the rug. From Dispatch Politics:
Attorney General Richard Cordray insists that he didn’t try to play hide-and-seek with legislators over a $495,000 payment to two former office employees who alleged sexual harassment in the tenure of Marc Dann, Cordray’s predecessor.
Cordray said his office cut checks to the two women, Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout, and their lawyers before going to the state Controlling Board because that’s standard procedure in such cases.
