From the Chronicle-Tribune:
State legislators say possible uses of federal stimulus dollars are being weighed and discussed other legislative issues at this year’s second Third House session Saturday morning at Marion’s municipal building.
Republican Sens. Luke Kenley, Gary Dillon and Travis Holdman, Republican Rep. P. Eric Turner and Democrat Rep. Joe Pearson participated in the public discussion session, which was hosted by the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce.
Kenley said senators have focused much effort this session on proposed local government reform changes, including township restructuring and consolidation of library districts.
“Indiana hasn’t changed its local government mechanisms for more than 150 years,” he said.
