State Senate District 16 candidate Dan Claitor was endorsed Thursday by Laurinda Calongne, who finished third in the March 7 primary election.
Claitor faces Lee Domingue in an April 4 runoff to fill the open legislative seat representing southeast East Baton Rouge Parish.
Claitor and Domingue, like Calongne, are Republicans.
“I’m going to actively campaign — walk door-to-door for him, host events. We are going to help him get out the vote on April 4,” said Calongne, a health-care consultant.
