From Tulsa World:
House Bill 1297 by Rep. Pat Ownbey, R-Ardmore, and Sen. Johnnie Crutchfield, D-Ardmore, heads to the Senate floor after the Senate Finance Committee passed it 10-1.
The three-day sales-tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. the first Friday in August and ends at midnight the following Sunday. It applies to clothing and footwear valued at less than $100.
Under HB 1297, supplies that would be covered include pens, pencils, three-ring binders, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, pocket folders, rulers, protractors, compasses, map pencils, crayons, markers, glue, index cards or any item included on an official, school-provided supply list.
