Houston Chronicle: Johnny Hanson
From Texas Politics:
When he’s not wrangling votes in the Texas Senate, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst can often be found on the back of a horse. Now, his experience as a team roper, rancher and world-ranked cutting horse competitor has earned him a place in the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
At tonight’s induction ceremony, Dewhurst, pictured at the 2008 Houston Rodeo, also will receive the Western Heritage Award.
