Republican in Ohio Unveils new Redistricting Plan

This will completely change the face of Congressional redistricting in Ohio.  It’ll be interesting to see who, or what, comes out in opposition to this effort.  From Journal News:

Sen. Jon Husted, R-Kettering, wants Ohio voters on Nov. 3 to have a chance to change the way the state draws state legislative and congressional districts.

Husted on Monday, March 30, said he would introduce a resolution to establish a bipartisan seven-member commission to oversee the creation of the districts after each census. The next census is in 2010.

The resolution would require a five-vote super majority for the adoption of a redistricting plan.
