Democrats did state residents a huge disservice by refusing to let the full House of Delegates vote on the marriage amendment, a West Virginia Family Foundation leader says.
Along party lines, the lower chamber voted 67-30 against removing the proposed “one-man, one-woman” constitutional amendment from a House committee to reach the House floor for a vote.
This marked the second time in three years that Democrats voted as such, marking yet another instance in which the leadership has avoided a controversial floor vote.
