Assemblyman Brian Kolb of Canandaigua is the new leader of the Republican minority in New York’s Assembly.
Kolb replaces Republican Jim Tedisco.
Tedisco announced Friday he would resign from the position while he waits to find out if he’s won a race for Congress. He ran against Democrat Scott Murphy for New York’s 20th District seat, a contest that remains too close to call Monday.
