From Post Politics:
I got a phone call today from a parent who said Cocke County High School was going to excuse students who have parent’s written permission to attend the Cocke County Tea Party on Thursday. I contacted a teacher at the school who confirmed the story and said the school made two P.A. announcements on Tuesday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each announcement said that students who brought in a written permission slip from their parents could attend the event and would get an excused absence.
A phone call to Susan Ashmore, one of the organizers of the event, confirmed that both Cocke County High School and Cosby High School are encouraging students to attend the event.
