Rep. Sam Smith – absent.
Sen. Don White – absent.
Rep. Jeff Pyle – present, but a newbie.
Such are the findings of a search for Indiana County’s state legislators on the Facebook social-networking Internet site.
Maybe it’s no coincidence. Reed is the youngest of the local contingent to Harrisburg and the Web is held as a medium of youth.
Originally designed as a vehicle for college students to link up and keep tabs with each other online, Facebook has been opened to the rest of the world and has been embraced for personal and professional purposes by hundreds of millions of users.
