But Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Yuma, blasted Democrats’ approach for responding to the fiscal crisis, saying the legislative session represented “one step forward and two steps back.”
He singled out legislation raising car registration fees to pay for road and bridge improvements among other bills that he criticized as raising fees on people when they can least afford it.
“It was a litany of fee increases,” Gardner said.
“The budget solution was to blow the caps on spending,” Gardner continued. “The session lost focus on the most important thing, which is helping working Coloradans.”
