Special elections keep coming, and Republicans keep winning! From the Miami Herald:
Gov. Charlie Crist’s office just released an executive order scheduling the primary and general elections to replace the Senate seat of longtime lawmaker Ken Pruitt, who gave notice on the final day of session that he will step down early.
The primary will be June 30. The general election will be August 4, Pruitt’s last day. The frontrunner is former Rep. Joe Negron, a fellow Republican who’s already got lobbyists and Republican lawmakers in his cheerleading circle.
