From Freep.com:
Attorney General Mike Cox announced his candidacy for governor in 2010 on Wednesday, telling the Free Press his top priority if elected would be to enact a $2-billion tax cut, including a 50% reduction in business taxation.
Cox said a tax cut isn’t the only thing needed to make Michigan more attractive to job creators, but “it’s the one thing a governor can affect directly … and quickly.”
The two-term attorney general spent the morning giving news media interviews after announcing online he was ending the exploratory phase of his campaign and seeking the Republican gubernatorial nomination.
