Democrat Terry Goddard said Sunday that his recent declaration — “I intend to run for governor” — does not require he resign from his current post.
Goddard, the state attorney general, acknowledged making the statement recently.
“You cannot complain as much as I do and not be willing to put yourself on the line,” Goddard said in a speech to the cheers of Democrats who live in the Sun City Grand area, northwest of Phoenix.
