Different day, same old chaos and dysfunction.
Senate Democrats – at least a few of them – have already laid claim to the Senate chamber.Sen. Brian Foley (D-Long Island) and several staffers locked themselves inside the Senate chamber. As of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday it was just the small group.
Minutes later, Foley and his staff were joined by Malcolm Smith (D-Queens), whom the Democrats still recognize as president of the Senate and the majority leader.
