From the Sun Sentinel:
Both the Republicans and Democrats are preparing major campaigns for the seat because it could go either way.
“The race is a toss-up between the two parties. It is winnable by either side, and therefore I look forward to a significant battle,” said Broward Democratic Chairman Mitch Ceasar.
Republicans who controlled redistricting after the 2000 census drew the 25th District’s boundaries to elect one of their own. Republican Jeff Atwater won the seat in 2002, has been re-elected and serves as the Senate president this year and next. But he’s leaving to seek the Republican nomination for state chief financial officer.
