Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo’s U.S. Senate campaign announced Wednesday he raised $302,993 in the second quarter, far less than his main opponent in next year’s Democratic primary.
Attorney General Jack Conway announced last week that he raised $1.32 million in the second quarter, his first after announcing he was running for the Democratic Party nomination for the seat held by incumbent Republican Jim Bunning.
The $302,993 announced by Mongiardo is also less than his first quarter total of $420,000, but combined the two quarters represent $732,546, the second most reported so far by any candidate other than Conway.
