Forces runoff.
From DailyComet.com:
Brent Callais and Norby Chabert will face off in an Aug. 29 runoff election for Louisiana’s District 20 Senate seat.
The two edged out state Rep. Damon Baldone, D-Houma, in Saturday’s election, according to complete but unofficial results.
“The voters have basically said they’re tired of the way things are going in Baton Rouge,” said Callais, who celebrated his showing with family and friends in Cut Off.
“The voters are going to have two good choices,” Chabert said from his own celebration in Chauvin. “We’re going to do all we can to represent the people of District 20. And we’re going to fight like hell for them.”
