From RGJ.com:
Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki said Monday he will seek a second term next year, eschewing a bid for higher office as he continues to fight a felony indictment for mishandling millions of dollars in the Nevada College Savings Program when he was state treasurer.
Krolicki has been calling campaign donors and others in political circles to put the word out that he’s running as other candidates, including Reno Councilwoman Jessica Sferrazza, a Democrat, begin eyeing the race.
“This is the right decision,” Krolicki said. “I’ve loved being lieutenant governor. I enjoy the economic development and tourism responsibilities. This is the right thing for me to do.”
