Florida: Former GOP AG and current Governor Charlie Crist wants taxes cut Now:
TALLAHASSEE — A new property tax-cutting plan could be just days away from legislative approval now that Gov. Charlie Crist announced he’s considering keeping lawmakers in the Capitol this week to approve the deal.
Crist said he’s not sure of what will happen but wants to add the issue to this week’s special lawmaking session on the budget — and perhaps extend it. Crist said he would prefer legislators ”get the job done” as soon as possible.
