From TwinCities.com:
Lt. Gov. Carol Molnau on Thursday said she would make a decision on her political future, including a possible run for governor, in late October.
In June, Molnau said it was unlikely she would run for the office being vacated by Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2010, but she didn’t rule it out. She said then that she planned to decide her future this summer after discussing her options with her family.
But at an appearance Thursday at the Minnesota State Fair, she said her family has been too busy to meet.
“We’ve just had too big a summer, including six weddings and unfortunately two funerals on weekends. So we haven’t gotten together to discuss it,” she said. She plans to hold a family meeting next month.
Her 87-year-old mother has already voted on whether she should run for governor, Molnau said. “Her vote was ‘hell no.’ ”
