Indiana residents are able to protect themselves from telemarketer calls in two ways. Carter said there’s a national and a state list, and Hoosiers only need to be on Indiana’s.But residents on the national list could be contacted by businesses up to an hour and a half after doing business with them. Carter said if you buy a cup of coffee, the coffee shop would be able to call you immediately after your purchase under the national law.
Carter says that’s not the case with the Indiana Do Not Call list.
