Special election in Senate District 14 is tomorrow.
Check out the RSLC’s television commercial now running in Kentucky:
From Courier-Journal:
The GOP group that recently got involved in the race is the Republican State Leadership Committee, which is to some degree leveling the playing field with an ad suggesting that Haydon wants to raise taxes by $1 billion. It uses a video of Haydon expressing his support for expanded gambling to back up its claim of a tax increase.
“We need to pursue every revenue stream we can find,” Haydon says in the ad.
And Republicans say they’re confident they will retain the seat, which Kelly had held since 1991.
Their strategy has been to nationalize the race and run it on issues such as health care and global-warming legislation.
