From Arkansas News:
Republican state Rep. Mark Martin of Prairie Grove said today he will seek the secretary of state’s office this year.
He becomes the first Republican to announce for the office.
Three Democrats — Arkansas Land Commissioner Mark Wilcox, Pulaski County Clerk and Circuit Clerk Pat O’Brien and Sebastian County Clerk Doris Tate — have already announced.
“I think I can do a good job,” said Martin, who is term-limited.
