From GrandForksHerald.com:
Lt. Gov. Jack Dalrymple, who has been Republican Gov. John Hoeven’s running mate since the pair were elected a decade ago, believes he’s ready to assume the top job if Hoeven is elected to the U.S. Senate this fall.
“I have as part of my job … the responsibility of filling in any vacancy for the governor. I have always realized that could happen,” Dalrymple said Tuesday. “I am definitely ready and prepared to do that at any time.”
