Only days after one high-profile Republican decided against challenging Sen. Evan Bayh, a second is weighing a run.
Secretary of State Todd Rokita, whose second and final term is up this year, said in an e-mailed statement that he is being encouraged to consider running for Senate by “a diverse group of people.”
Advertisement“I certainly share Hoosiers’ concerns that we need real leadership in Washington — leadership that we simply aren’t getting today,” Rokita said.
He said he and his wife “still think and pray about how we can best serve Indiana in the future.”
