From New Haven Register:
Martha Dean, a Republican candidate for attorney general, promised this week to fight for less government interference and to end “gotcha” lawsuits, which she said are driving away businesses.
An attorney from Avon, she spoke against government regulation of utilities, telecommunications, transportation and hospital procedures, which end up picking “winners and losers,” rather than leaving that to market forces.
Dean, who ran for the office in 2002, said the state’s biggest problems are economic, exacerbated by a lack of leadership.
