Virginia’s former attorney general is getting ready to join the state Supreme Court.
The investiture of William Mims is scheduled for Friday afternoon at the Supreme Court Building in Richmond.
Mims was named to a 12-year term on the court by the General Assembly last month. He succeeds Barbara Keenan, who was appointed to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
