North Dakota Democrats endorsed Fargo attorney Jean Boechler earlier this week to be the party’s candidate in the state attorney general race.
Democratic-NPL delegates voted at the convention in March to allow the party’s executive committee to endorse a candidate for attorney general.
Boechler has been involved with the Democratic-NPL Party for several years, but this is her first bid for elected office.
“I’m clearly not a politician,” she said. “I’m realizing that while I’m very confident in my ability to serve the state as the attorney general, the campaign could be a learning experience for me.”
