From great8newspapers.com:
State Sen. Mike Kopp, R-Littleton, will take the minority leadership role on the Senate floor on Thursday, May 13, even though the current legislative session ends the day prior.
Kopp will replace Grand Junction state Sen. Josh Penry, who is leaving the position to manage the campaign for Jane Norton, who is seeking a national seat.
Kopp was elected handily at a recent caucus, which featured 14 voting members.
