Thanks For Helping The Kline Campaign

This week, Democrat Attorney General Candidate Paul Morrison, decided to go on the attack by criticizing General’s Kline’s efforts to keep the Internet safe for children.  Now, while you might think this would be a smart move on Morrison’s part, as it’s certainly an important issue, the unfortunate reality is that Internet safety happens to be an area of strength for the Kline Campaign.

I can only guess that due to the hectic pace of a statewide campaign, their office probably didn’t have the time to look though General Kline’s long list of accomplishments to take notice of the General’s aggressive pursuit of Internet predators.

Paul’s attack provided General Kline with a perfect opportunity to talk about this issue:

“Kline responded Wednesday with a news conference in Kansas City defending his record of combating such crime. It was held outside the building that houses the regional Cyber Crime Task Force and the Heart of America Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory. Kline said the task force, which his office joined in 2003 shortly after he took office, was responsible for 100 federal indictments and 90 convictions. Since 2003 the laboratory has processed 840 cases, including 452 cases of cyber crime, he said many successes in this area over the past few years.”

While I have no knowledge of a thank you note from the Kline camp, I am sure they would love to see the next three months filled with these “attacks” from the Morrison Campaign.  When choosing topics in the future, my suggestion to Paul would be, in an effort to save time and money just start with General Kline’s first press release and work your way down.
