At times like this, Buckeye voters have got to happy that there’s a guy like Jon Husted at the helm, he’s the GOP Speaker of the House, instead of someone cut from the same cloth as Democrat A.G. Marc Dann. Imagine if this was going on in Kansas, where that state’s Democrat A.G. Paul Morrison gave the legal go ahead that ultimately quashed innovation and economic opportunity for that state. Ohio better keep an eye on Marc Dann.
COLUMBUS You’ve got to be some kind of masochist to sit through all the hearings that will result in new state energy regulations in the form of Senate Bill 221, the governor’s proposal to control electric costs and encourage use of alternative forms of power. There is plenty of company. Staff from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, which represents residential utility customers, probably are required by law to be there. How else to explain it?
