Big Lots Inc. is one of two major retailers pulling lead-tainted children’s jewelry from shelves as part of a settlement with New York’s attorney general.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced that Columbus, Ohio-based Big Lots and Irving, Texas-based Michaels Stores Inc. discontinued sales this week of jewelry whose lead levels exceeded safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
