Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler has announced plans to help the state’s universities better understand affirmative action law and how to expand outreach and retention efforts aimed at minority students.Gansler notified state higher education officials earlier this month of guidelines concerning financial aid, academic support and student recruitment efforts for minorities.
