The Senate candidate with the second largest amount of campaign donations is former Oklahoma State University President Jim Halligan of Stillwater, a Republican.
He raised $254,272 in the race for the open Senate District 21 seat and had $163,387 remaining, according to his last campaign report.
The District 21 seat is one of the major election battlegrounds in the fight to control the Senate.
Former Associate District Judge Bob Murphy, a Stillwater Democrat who is running against Halligan, had raised $69,965 so far and had $58,959 remaining after expenditures, according to his report.
