So the Democrat A.G. Paul Morrison gets the navel gazing award for helping block a $4 billion deal that would’ve benefited all Kansas citizens? If Morrison is so gung-ho about the emissions thing maybe he should trade in his big black pick up for something a little more carbon neutral…say a Schwinn. This is big thinking for folks in Kansas – you gotta wonder what other folks weighed in on this one from outside the boundaries of the state.

This is a $4 BILLION PROJECT Bremby. The benefits to Kansas far outweigh the risks in this situation one would imagine (never mind the advances in technology on coal plants). There are so many other ways to address your fears on this one…I guess his vision is to have the state of Kansas powered by sunflowers. If the folks who run cattle in Kansas out there aren’t careful – they’ll be next with their methane producers. Plus – red meat can be harmful to your health – oh boy.
The decision brought immediate criticism from the plants’ backers, who blasted Bremby for ignoring the recommendations of his own staff to approve the permit.“The expansion at Holcomb could benefit the entire state in a number of significant ways,” Senate President Steve Morris, R-Hugoton, said in a written statement.
