PA: Dem State Senator Says He’ll Retire At End Of Year

LaValle is the minority chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee – and it looks like his wife may have appropriated about $47,000 in salary for herself according to the article – but thankfully she’s giving it all back.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Democrat state Sen. Gerald LaValle of Beaver County says he won’t run for re-election when his term expires at the end of the year.The 75-year-old LaValle has been a state senator since 1990.

LaValle has been questioned about his ties to two nonprofit agencies being investigated by state Attorney General Tom Corbett, including the Voluntary Action Center of Beaver County.
