A.G. wannabe John Morganelli is a brilliant tactician. What better time to launch another political manifesto than when NOBODY is reading the news. Maybe his next rant will come over Labor Day weekend. This guy just reeks of credibility. From Pennlive.com:
Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli, who is not exactly known for his short e-mails, sent a brief 478-word diatribe into the ethos over the holiday weekend.
Morganelli’s latest missive to the media accuses incumbent Attorney General Tom Corbett of using taxpayer dollars to promote his re-election.
We’re shocked.
Morganelli, the Democratic candidate for AG, says that Corbett has diverted “hundreds of thousands of dollars, and maybe even a million dollars” that was earmarked for fighting illegal gun trafficking in Philadelphia and southeastern Pennsylvania in a “blatant and unaccounted use of public money” to raise his name recognition.
“Mr. Corbett has decided, like those under investigation in “Bonusgate” that our tax dollars, rather than his campaign funds, can be used for his re-election campaign,” Morganelli writes.
Is Morganelli casting judgment on legislative leaders and in particular state House Democrats who paid in bonuses after winning control of the House after the 2006 election?
[…] the only folks who DO get paid by Morganelli are a couple of out of state consultants. Running a competent, efficient, not to mention legally compliant statewide campaign doesn’t happen by itself. […]
