MO AG Update: Anti-Koster Website Funded by the Democrats Ex-Wife

Well, the only worse thing for Koster would be if he were still married and she cut the $200k check to the anti-Koster committee. So we’re guessing probably that a reconciliation isn’t in the works between these two? From MyFox Kansas City:

The race for Missouri Attorney General is heating up with reports of $200,000 donated to a political action group by Missouri Senator Chris Koster’s ex-wife. The money is being used to run critical ads about Koster.

Candidates always have to deal with the unexpected, including negative actions of their loved ones during the campaign. While the money donated to run ads against Koster is a little unusual, a political science professor said the tactic is not new.

The website The Facts On Koster was allegedly set up by some of the $200,000 donated by Koster’s ex-wife.

A group calling itself bi partisan is behind the website. It claims its goal is to set the record straight about politicians. Koster’s political opponents, Representative Jeff Harris and Representative Margaret Donnelly, deny involvement with the website or the group.

“Our campaign has absolutely nothing to do with that,” Harris said.

“Throughout this campaign our two Democratic opponents and the Republicans have tried to dredge up anything they can against Senator Koster because their law enforcement credentials don’t stack up,” Koster spokesperson Danny Kanner said.

UMKC Professor Emeritus of Political Science Dr. Dale Neuman said what’s happening in the Attorney General race is nothing new.

“What they say, what they do, how they appear, has been a problem over the ages,” Dr. Neuman said.
