An idea that apparently hatched out of Oregon, spread to at least Texas, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Recently, we told you about it popping up in Colorado and then Ohio.

A mileage tax isn’t yet under consideration in Missouri or Illinois, but it is an idea that’s probably inevitable in the next two or three decades, said Pete Rahn, head of the Missouri Department of Transportation.
“We will end up paying for what we drive, where we drive and when we drive,” he said.
Rahn envisons a tax where “if you want to drive a Hummer, or whatever that vehicle might be 30 years from today, at 7:30 in the morning on I-70, you’re going to pay a higher rate. If you’re going to drive a Civic on side streets at 10:30 in the morning, you’re going to pay a lower rate.”
this is the most pathetic thing i have ever heard…where does it stop…We the public are so sick and tired of all these states saying they have no money…Well obviously these politicians do not know how to run the states…Someone is pocketing our money as far as I am concerned…Let these politicians pay there fair share of taxes and maybe things would get better…Its the rich that keeps getting richer and the poor is getting poorer…
