Kansas Dem AG Scrambles In Attempt To Save His Job

Democrat Attorney General Paul Morrison is now asking for an independent investigation of his 2 year affair. What we want to know is what is Mr. Morrison’s end game here – does he think that if he calls for a further public airing of the allegations that the victim here will recant instead of facing further official and public scrutiny? He denies any professional misconduct – we’d venture to say that engaging in NC-17 behavior on state time on state property would be construed as misconduct and would get most state employees fired in any state. Kansas bloggers are all over this one – clearly – check out what Nice Deb, Tony’s Kansas City, and Stay Red Kansas and their readers have to say.

Last bit for today – Stay Red Kansas posted one of Morrison’s early bio spots from the ’06 campaign (“So you say you have a job?”) – watching these things with hindsight in place is always fun.  Think words and phrases like priorities, cracking down on wrong doing with the toughest sentences, and always putting safety first.  Maybe Kansas Democrats are wishing they’d recruited Jack Morrison instead – he sure looks better now.
