Given the fact, as this article points out, that a number of the folks who will be reviewing the allegations against Mr. Morrison had given financially to his campaign, an independent prosecutor is the way to go. If Paul Morrison really wants to come out of this 100% exonerated of any wrong doing (somehow ignoring the misconduct on state time in state offices) he himself should advocate for completely independent investigation. That would clear the air on this thing without a doubt – and no side could claim any kind of political game being played.
Topeka — Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison may face more than a review by his peers of allegations of lawyer misconduct.State Republican Party Chairman Kris Kobach said Wednesday that Morrison also could be subject to investigations by an independent prosecutor and the Legislature.
