TALLAHASSEE – Gov. Charlie Crist committed $94 million to bring the Max Planck Society to Palm Beach County, clearing the way for the German bio-research giant to set up headquarters alongside Scripps Florida in Jupiter.
In an early morning announcement with Max Planck President Peter Gruss by his side, Crist said that the Max Planck facility on the Florida Atlantic University campus will create 1,824 jobs and $2.4 billion in labor compensation over a 20-year period and will generate $5.3 billion in gross state product over the same period.
