TOPEKA — Steve Boyda, husband of 2nd District Rep. Nancy Boyda, says he’d like to be considered for the attorney general’s post being vacated by Paul Morrison.
He confirmed Tuesday that he’s informed state Democratic Party officials about his interest in the job, which Morrison will leave Jan. 31.
“Yes, I am interested,” Boyda said. “And, yes, I’ve told people about my availability for consideration on the list along with other qualified candidates.”

I have seen Steve Boyda talk on a number of occasions. He seems to be extremely knowledgeable, and clearly diplomatic. He also conveys considerable integrity. Definitely an impressive individual, who I believe has something real to contribute.
