Are there not enough problems in New York that Andrew Cuomo can focus on without having to change policy through litigation. If he really wants to affect change with a Federal agency might we suggest calling his Congressional delegation – we hear there’s a Senator from New York who’s running for President or something who might have some juice on this matter. Come on – change the law with legislation, not litigation.
“By denying New York the right to set global warming emission standards, the Bush administration is intentionally obstructing our efforts to combat climate change,” said Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, who is leading the multistate lawsuit.Other states or state agencies in the suit are Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
