Attorney General Jim Hood told The Clarion-Ledger Editorial Board that if he won re-election, he would work with the new district attorney to speed prosecutions.Hinds County, Hood says, needs more jail space, more prosecutors, more judges, more public defenders and more courtrooms. “We can make it happen. But we’re going to have to have more money (from the Legislature),” he said.”People from the hills from the Coast want to help,” he said. “This is our capital city.”
