In short from the GOP – lower taxes on businesses and food, super majorities to raise taxes at all, and tying the rate of growth of government to inflation. Oh, and naming every county courthouse after West Virginian of the year Jennifer Garner. (Ok – we made that last part up.)
Just in time for Gov. Joe Manchin’s State of the State address Wednesday evening and the start of the state legislative session, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce — which advertises itself as the voice of business in the state — has issued “Eight Solutions for ’08.”Republicans in the House of Delegates also unveiled an agenda.
