Straw polls are always fun…
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – If you wanted a clearer picture Saturday of who will emerge in the Republican primary to replace retiring state Sen. Gibson E. Armstrong, well, the only words I can offer are: “Not yet.”Although local businessman Lloyd Smucker was the top votegetter in the straw poll taken by local Republican committee members, two others remain close enough to make the upcoming GOP endorsement convention an interesting and contested event.
