Columbia (WLTX) -– Republican lawmakers say they introduced a tax cut for married couples Thursday morning that would cut an additional one percent from their income taxes.
House Speaker Bobby Harrell and the House Republican Caucus introduced the tax cut plan Thursday.
“While other states have marriage tax penalties,” Rep. Harrell said, “We are showing our support of families by giving married couples a tax break.”
