Yes, you can investigate just about anything and surely find some nefarious characters operating out there – regardless of the field. Hopefully Richard Blumenthal’s investigation won’t have a negative impact on the ability of students to study overseas – that would be something that would be worthy of investigation.
State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is investigating how study abroad programs at Connecticut’s colleges and universities are financed.He has asked 10 Connecticut schools to disclose information to determine if schools or administrators received subsidized trips, cash bonuses or other incentives to choose one study abroad provider over another.”The question is whether the arrangement is in the student’s best interest,” Blumenthal said.
